Do you remember Mediterraneo… the movie about forgotten soldiers who are situated on an island and don’t know that the war is finished… Vis Island was home to a large military base until 1995, and the beauty of the island of Vis has remained relatively intact.
We will show you the labyrinth of underground tunnels, the remains of cannons, and abandoned warehouses.
After a tour of the missile base Stupišće, we will drive to the military tunnel ARK Vela Glava.
We will take a tour of the tunnel and then ascend to the highest point of the island of Vis –the peak of Hum 587 to enjoy the great view.
On the return, we will see the well-known Tito’s Cave and hear about the significant historical events that played out here.
