Island Brač is well known for its delicious food and olive oil where we will take you on this tour.

Except for its coves and transparent and blissfully unspoiled water, its vineyards and olive groves, the island is known for its interesting history and architecture, above all, Blaca hermitage, as one of the most important and interesting architectural complexes of Brač.

In the 16th century, the hermits came here and settled in a cave. It stretches on fifty-six acres, between Dragovode and Blaca bay. It is considered a desert, because of the scarce nature which surrounds the lovely monastery. Black Desert was home to many generations of monks since the seventeenth century. For a time in history, this was the main school attended by pupils from the small villages nearby. The monastery holds the second-largest telescope in Europe, which hasn’t been used for ages. Today, this is one of the most favorite hiking destinations and picture-worthy sightings.

After picking you up from the port, we will take you for 3 hours of hiking. We start our hiking in the Blaca cove and we take direction toward the Blaca desert and hermitage.

After the hiking tour of Blaca, you will be taken to the Vidova Gora by car. Admire the highest mountain (778 meters) of all 1185 Croatian islands. You can expect a breathtaking view of all the South-Dalmatian islands, the mainland, and as far as Italy, if the weather permits. There you can have a photoshoot.

After that, you’ll visit the oldest village on the island Brač, Škrip, and its museum where we will guide you through the history of the island. The museum of oil presents the traditional process of olive oil production on the island of Brač.

The Museum of Oil exhibits an olive mill, olive press, spindle for tightening press screws, bags, a fireplace for heating the water, and all traditional tools for transport, production, and storage of olive oil. In the Olive oil museum, you will have olive oil tasting.

Our journey will take us to Kaštil Gospodnetić in village Dol, castellum was built in a prominent part of the village during the Turkish-Venetian wars. Gospodnetić family will walk you through the history of the house, while a home-made, authentic cuisine will offer an unforgettable gourmet delight. Dol and renaissance konoba are the perfect choice for everyone who wants to taste authentic Dalmatia. Castellum itself is surrounded by vineyards where we can take a walk.
