The Danube is the most important stream of Europe. With its 2.857 kilometers from the well in Schwarzwald to the Delta in the Black Sea it is the second largest river of the continent. 2.488 kilometers are navigable and connect 10 neighbor countries.
The Croatian part of the Danube is 188 kilometres long, flowing through the flat plains and a national park with a number of specific bird and animal species. This part of Croatia is popular for biking, cycling and hiking.

The Danube Bike Trail offers a visitor exactly what these countries have to offer: flat plains and mountains, hills and vineyards, historical monuments and architecture, different geological features that can be seen only on the Danube banks.
