DAY 1: SPLIT; OLIVE OIL AND WINE TASTING, SPLIT WALKING TOUR

Upon arrival at Split Airport, transfer to your hotel. Freshen up and then enjoy a true introduction to the region: A split walking tour followed by wine and olive oil tasting.

Olive oil and wine, a heritage of the ancient Greeks, are today essential ingredients of any Croatian meal, and you will savor them with a dash of modern zest.

Our guide will uncover for you the secrets of the UNESCO-protected Diocletian’s Palace. This Roman emperor spared no expense for the construction of a sumptuous residence, importing the best quality marble, sphinx, and columns. The original palace was modified by its new inhabitants during the Middle Ages, making it even more beautiful and what it is today: the city's living heart. Its narrow streets hide passageways and courtyards, some deserted and eerie, others lively and animated by the music from bars and cafes, or by the everyday life of its residents. Duration: up to 3 hours

Enjoy Split in the evening and stay overnight.

DAY 2: SPLIT; MEŠTROVIĆ GALLERY AND TROGIR WALKING TOUR

After breakfast, set out to explore the shorelines surrounding Split. The towns you will visit, Split and Trogir, have both seen the Greeks, the Romans, Venetians, Napoleon, and the Habsburgs, yet have, each in their own way, managed to sustain an easy-going seaside mindset. Still, over time, Split flourished into Croatia’s second-largest city, while Trogir retained its small-scale charms.

We will start the day by visiting one of the most beautiful spots in Split, Meštrović Gallery, hosting some of the most prominent sculptures of this world-famous artist, disciple of Rodin. We continue to Trogir, to hear about its stunning heritage and UNESCO-listed historic center and visit its Cathedral St. Lawrence. Round off your day with a rhapsody of Mediterranean freshness and flavors at one of Split’s favorite fine-dining venues (optional). Duration: Up to 5hours

Overnight in Split.

DAY 3: SPLIT; HVAR ISLAND BY PRIVATE MOTOROBAT

A visit to Split would never be complete without hopping over to one of the islands that bulge on its horizon line. After breakfast at the hotel, get on a private motorboat for a transfer to the stunning island of Hvar and its glitzy hotspot, the town of Hvar. Frequented by jet-setters, European royalty, and international superstars, Hvar is the birthplace of organized tourism in Croatia and also the home of the oldest European public theater, but outside the town premises, the island still maintains its traditions, sloping vineyards, and endless lavender groves.

Enjoy a lunch in one of the bays over at the neighboring Pakleni islands (optional), and then a well-deserved dip in the crystal clear sea. Heaven on Earth! Return to Split, enjoy your last evening as you please, and spend overnight in Split.

Duration: Up to 8 hours
