With so many city tours available, this one really offers something different. Our guide, which has actually played as an extra in 2 different Game of Thrones episodes, brought us around all the locations where Game of Thrones was shot like the basements of the Diocletian roman palace, the spots across the city and, cherry on top, the fortress used for many scenes of Meereen. Because most of the locations are also city historical landmarks, this is a great way to see Split without missing out on key things. The best part of the tour was the Game of Thrones styled dinner we had at the fortress. It was beyond the official closing time so we were the only 10 people in the whole place, at the sunset, with a great view on the city and a fantastic table full of typical food (Peka), complete with great replica of medieval cutlery and crockery. The tour starts at 16.30 so by the time you are done with the palace basements the sun is not so hot anymore, making it so much nicer to continue the tour. Also the sunset at the fortress is really something you shouldn't miss. Highly advised!
